Age Gracefully with Fillers and Neurotoxins
While there’s no stopping time, you can correct the wrinkles that age you the most. With injectables, you can age gracefully without surgery.

If you’ve ever envied how well a celebrity has aged since their earlier work, there’s a good chance they’ve had work done. This doesn’t necessarily mean going under the knife, however. Injectables like Botox® and dermal fillers have made it easier than ever to touch up your face, allowing you to target specific wrinkles.

At Regenerative MedSpa of Buckhead in Atlanta, Georgia, our team of body wellness and anti-aging specialists uses injectables like fillers and neurotoxins to help you beat the effects of aging and sun damage.

The difference between Botox® and dermal fillers

Before moving forward with any treatment using injectables, you’ll need to understand how they’re used and what type(s) of wrinkles they treat. At Regenerative MedSpa of Buckhead, we offer both neurotoxin injectables and dermal fillers to help you age gracefully.

Botox

Made using botulinum toxin type A, Botox is a purified neurotoxin that causes targeted paralysis. Botox has been used cosmetically for over twenty years, and is not only safe, but is also one of the most popular cosmetic treatments of all time. Similar injectables include Jeuveau® (prabotulinumtoxinA-xvfs), another neurotoxin.

Botox works best on dynamic wrinkles, which form when you make certain expressions. Squinting or furrowing your brows creases your skin repeatedly over time, eventually causing it to fall into familiar fault lines. By targeting the muscles responsible for these lines, an experienced injector can alleviate the appearance of wrinkles without making you look stiff or expressionless.

Dermal fillers

There are a few different kinds of dermal fillers, but all of them work the same way. They use a soft, gel-like substance to fill in lips, cheeks, and deep wrinkles. In many cases, the main ingredient in dermal fillers is hyaluronic acid, a substance that occurs naturally in your body.

Fillers work best on static wrinkles, which form over time due to volume loss and the pull of gravity. These include nasolabial folds, jowls, and lip lines. Both dermal fillers and neurotoxins eventually wear off, so you may choose to make injectables an ongoing part of your beauty routine.

Deciding which is best for you

Depending on what type of wrinkles you have, you might require either (or both) types of injectables to achieve your desired results. Both injectables can be used during the same session. During your consultation, Dr. Karolina Grochowska will help you determine which wrinkles need correcting, and whether neurotoxins, fillers, or both are best for you.
